A redevelopment project in the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem. The project includes, among other things, the demolition of 81 existing housing units, many of which are state-owned and managed by Amidar, construction of approximately 355 new apartment units, 4 floors of underground parking, commerce, and public spaces such as - children's gardens, day care centers, synagogues, and more.
The project covers an area of about 11 dunams, creates an open area 'protected' by the buildings that surround it and enables the creation of a safe, accessible and quality outdoor area for the residents of the complex.
The project merges low-rise construction (up to 10 floors) with tower construction. At the heart of the complex, a spacious pedestrian path is planned, providing a passage for pedestrians between residential buildings and public areas.
The project was designed in collaboration with architect Maoz Preis.
